Exhibition of prints by recent GMIT art graduate Melanie McDonagh. Overlooked takes an irreverent look at some of Galway's mostly overlooked modern architecture including the ESB Networks on Sean Mulvoy road, Leisureland and Merlin Park Hospital.
Melanie recently graduated with a degree in Art and Design from the Centre for Creative Arts and Media, GMIT. She has had previous solo exhibitions in Murray's and Royal Villa, Salthill and a joint exhibition in Salthill Social. Her work is included in the Galway City Council collection, and she has exhibited in the Boyle Arts Festival. Architecture and the urban landscape feature heavily in her work, as does a love of the incongruous.
