Superposition Architecture and Design Studio
Public Talk; ‘Material Settings’
Superposition is a collaborative research studio working between the varied contexts of Ireland, Hong Kong, and rural China. They speculate on the potential that new modes of making have in engaging with the pressing issues facing our increasingly globalised world.Through the integration of digital technology with regional material, culture and local communities, a number of case study projects seek to challenge the way in which we think about the role of the architect in society.
Superposition was founded by Donn Holohan and Elspeth Lee in 2015. Work is characterised by an ethical framework combined with a detail orientated and contextual approach to design at a wide range of scales.
Through experimentation, research, exchange and collaboration, Superposition integrates architecture, art, craft, and digital technology in a culturally sensitive, sustainable and innovative way.
